The hike in to Church Rock Canyon begins at a wide mouth and narrows as you progress towards Church Rock. The red Aztec sandstone walls are mostly free of vegetation, but every now and then, a tree clings to the canyon walls. The word “resilience” always comes to mind and I wonder what the slick canyon walls are in my life; and am I showing the same resilience needed for growth.
