A lesson that I seem to repeatedly have to learn, is to look away from the easy light. To have the discipline to look away from the obvious and to absorb the subtleness of diffuse light. When I turn to diffuse light, I see how it accentuates form in a way that allows me to more clearly see structure, nuance, and the interplay of physics within the landscape.
And I wonder what the broader message is for me in how this concept pertains to how I live my life. What do I miss because I live gravitating in to that which is easy, and avoid embracing that which is more diffuse.
