    1. Thanks for the comment, Shirley. One of the things I have discovered about the tallgrass prairie is the hidden nature of those paths. The tallgrass hides the paths that are present. The traveler must hold in balance a focus on the pathway as they absorb the surrounding beauty of the prairie. Too much focus on the path, and you miss the prairie. Too much focus on the prairie, and you miss the path. In many ways, it is a spiritual discipline to hike in the tallgrass.
